Well, these cookies may be ordinary in some countries but in this one…these kind of cookies are hard to come by. It’s called a "Gevulde Koek" or a "Roomboter". I’m not quite sure which as I’m just reading it off the wrapper of the very last one I have.
*sighs*
It seems as if all I do in between work is be a mommy which isn’t to say that being a mommy isn’t wonderful…it’s just that I used to do other things too. Like, exercise (what’s that?) and art and hanging out with friends.
Okay….maybe it’s not all that bad. Maybe it’s just that work has been too stressful lately and I’m having a hard time finding the energy for much else.
Funny how some things just take a back seat……like my waist line.

As a mommy with almost all the birds out of the nest….I can honestly say that time changes them….More than we can possibly know when they are little.
There will come a time when you’ll be lucky to squeeze a few minutes from her busy schedule….
Its hard to be the Mommy of a little one….but its lonely to be a Mommy to a grown one too. Find time for you….but don’t waste a moment with her either.
She’s a gift and totally adorable!!!

Thank you (for the adorable bit and the reminder).
I really was just bemoaning the fact that I had to bring work home. In part because when I’m home, I just want to be home and the fact that on heavy workload days I used to just stay late and get it done and that’s just not something I can do anymore. There’s this pressure of having to leave at five o’clock that I never had to worry about before.
